Snowdrops in February 2024
Barnsdale Gardens in the East Midlands will be the place to be this February. Why? Because February is 'Snowdrop Month' which means there will be a stunning treat in store for all of those who come along to Barnsdale's famous snowdrop walk!
February will be the perfect time to come and indulge yourself in the extensive range of snowdrops planted throughout the gardens. There are lots of common snowdrops as well as many rare and unusual varieties to see, all mixed in with so much other winter interest. This is a time of year not to be missed!
On the 16th and 18th of February, throughout the day, snowdrop expert Gill Hadland will be running short talks and there will be snowdrops for sale, this will be free with garden admission.
The Winter and Snowdrops Walk: Breakfast and a Guided Walk, takes place on the 13th February between 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. The day will start with a Barnsdale-cooked breakfast, then Nick Hamilton will be providing a very special tour of the gardens. It's a great time of year to really see and understand the ideas behind each garden.
You'll be amazed at how much colour there is to enjoy, with brightly coloured bark and berries, drifts of Hellebores and the Geoff Hamilton Winter Border which features over 9000 Snowdrops, all individually planted by hand. Places can be booked on the Barnsdale Gardens website for £40 per person.
There's plenty to see and do all year round at Barnsdale Gardens!
