Countdown to the 45th Warwick Folk Festival has begun!

With less than three weeks until the 45th Warwick Folk Festival, the excitement is building! This popular family-friendly event will take place at Castle Park in Warwick from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28. The festival boasts 82 acts, including headline performers The Unthanks, Oysterband, Spooky Men’s Chorale, and Breabach.

Festival-goers can look forward to a diverse program featuring concerts, sing-arounds, dance performances, intimate acoustic sessions, and full-on gigs. The festival atmosphere will be enhanced by a beer tent, interactive sessions, skill-learning opportunities, street food, and a wine and cocktail bar for relaxation with friends.

This year's craft fair will showcase 30 varied stalls with many new traders, offering even more excitement than previous years. The Festival Village will also feature over 10 delicious food stalls serving up jacket potatoes, toasties, fish and chips, Nepalese curries, Mexican dishes, Jamaican delights, crepes, hearty breakfasts, wood-fired pizzas, fresh salad bowls, and a variety of vegan and vegetarian options.

The Warwick Folk Festival Fringe will take place in the town center, offering free concerts, sessions, and dance displays from Friday evening until Sunday. Fifteen venues, including Dough & Brew, The Old Fourpenny Shop, The Roebuck, The Globe Hotel, The Rose & Crown, The Tilted Wig, and Warwick Arms Hotel, will host concerts.

Children can enjoy the Kids Zone, featuring Wild Thyngz, Panic Circus, workshops, arts and crafts, face painting, Toddle Bops, and Baby Bops. Admission is free for children under 14.

The festival also offers various workshops in two dedicated spaces. This year, charity stalls from The Woodland Trust and Myton Hospice, as well as a Charity Gala on Sunday in Warwick Town Square, will allow visitors to connect with local charities and learn about their impactful work. Circle Health and Mind will be present at the festival village, offering health and well-being checks, and accessibility buggies will be available to ensure everyone can navigate the festival comfortably.

Festival Director Dick Dixon said, “With less than three weeks to go, we are gearing up for a spectacular festival.
